The design for the Insulin is key t-shirt is based upon a picture used in Dutch hospitals to explain the disease on diagnosis. Tosca has given this picture a modern update to bring it to today's aesthetics. It remains a wonderfully clear explanation about what diabetes is.
Insulin is key's most important message is that insulin is essential for diabetics, just to stay alive.
For every international order (delivery outside the Netherlands) tosca.store will donate to Tidepool instead of the Dutch Diabetes Fund. Tidepool is a non-profit organisation committed to liberate diabetes data, allowing people with diabetes to manage their blood sugars in one place. Those who are aware of the #wearenotwaiting movement and Loop might know that many of the people who developed Loop in its early stages now work at Tidepool, it is thanks to these committed individuals that many tech innovations are now coming to the market for many more diabetics.
